One of the most popular day trip from Bangkok is Rachaburi floating market, 101 km to the west of Bangkok.

After ferry, one step into the floating market, wow, where should I look? There are so many interesting things happening at the same time. Look around, I can't stop clicking away all the photos.

Have you seen so much sliced papaya salad? With thousands of visit everyday, I am sure this is a daily practice.

What's this?

Deep fried quail eggs - appetizing!

For real homemade charcoal grill pork sausage!

Sweet chili sauce pork balls...how could I walk away from this?

Grill squid

I have had similar crab sauce in my papaya salad and hospitalized straight away. Be careful, if you are planning to try.

Usually floating market are second trades men, but still offering a good price. If you need some souvenirs, here is a good place to buy. Please note, all prices are negotiable.

Light desert - crispy pancake with egg white foam and shredded coconut

This is

If you see this desert, do buy some. It's made of mung bean and hand paint by food color and coated with gelatin.

Despite the cloudy river water, they presents the most delicate and delicious deserts.

Have been here, I understand why floating market is one of the most photography destination.

Do be prepare for the crowed and heat tho!

Other than food and shopping at floating market, it's also a history and culture experience.
Trades from the floating markets are transport with their boats laden and sell a wide variety of tropical fruits, flowers, deserts, seafood and fresh produce. With the rapid expand of the Bangkok city. These days, modern supermarkets and department stores have largely replaced the traditional floating markets, but a few still survive.
Do not miss this beautiful spot of Thailand!
