Mr Han traditional Restaurant - Eastwood Sydney * recommend*

0
It surprise me how many people never heard of this restaurant and yet I still have to queue nearly every visit. Also the restaurant has a quite bit sitting space at the back, so do not be fool by their small front setting.
Mr Han is located on Rowe street at Eastwood, near to all the groceries and other restaurants.

Let me walk you through their menu first.

Chef recommend dish - slow cooked pork knuckle in five spice

UPDATE: My friend just went to Mr Han last night and review on this pork knuckle dish was rathe disappointing. It's seems to be a bit over sweet for some people, and wasn't flavoursome enough to give the wow factor.

Shanghai wonton

Pan fried Pork buns

Sichuang influence cold dish - blood jelly and beef trips in specially spicy sauce

I have been keep on coming back for the same dishes. This superb fish soup is on of my favorite!
It's made of a whole fish with tofu, herbs mainly coriander, and green bean noodles. Indeed, it's a very nutritious but low calorie dish. It's for almost 5 people generous serving. Highly recommend for cold and flu suffer and lady just gave birth. (make sure tell the waiter less salty)

$25.80 for this whole pot and a whole fish, gosh, can't complain.

Spicy chicken hot pot
Very flavorsome dish. The chicken they use is with bone and it's very tender.

All together with 2 big dish and 2 rice and 2 take away box $46.20.
I will be enjoying the dish for 2 days.......how awesome!

New Westfield Food Court - Sydney * recommend*

0
Where shall we even start? No matter how many times I been to Pitt street Westfield food court, often I got confused with all the possible options and lost in the choosing.
Savory is my taste, let me take you around first.
I will take you to another tour for sugar hit next time.

Variety of sandwiches for near by busy office workers

Fresh salad

grill eggplant looks really good

Sassy's Malaysian recently had a noodle vouchers going around. It's definitely worth the money and there's special sitting for their store.

One of the very popular eating place in this food court - DingTaiFeng
Freshly made!

Aren't they awesome? You will win all the attentions if you buy that huge ham leg......and carrying it around in Westfield! Headline for sure on SMH!

Freshly made pasta, definitely should try this store.

Don't you love their decoration!

Okay, now let's down to business.

Charles & Co. burgers

It has special sitting arrangement, and the price tag are separate to take away and dining in prices. We tried Wagyu beef burger last time and decided to try federation burger today.

Federation Burger - Angus beef pattie, tomatoes, lettuce and aged cheddar, fried egg, bacon, sauteed onion and aioli
Really Do i need to say anymore? Buy it next time you are there!

We have been eye on this popular food stall for a long time, finally after distracted by other food choices, we went straight here.
On the board, it's their menu. how cool!
There are also samples on the side, but often too crowed. Trust me everything is nice here.

Chorizo spicy hot dog with chips

Everything is freshly cooked on the grill. I love their choice of bread, very soft and tasty!

Chips are crispy but not oily at all. Definitely recommended!

I am drilling just taking pictures.....I chose their chili sauce, you could always swap to something of your preference.

There are a lot of organic stalls catering for food intolerance, allergy customers. I will go with an expert next time, to be honest, they don't look very tasty for sure it's healthy I suppose.

Now, let me show you BECASSE patisserie.
They sell bakery from desert to savory to coffee. You can also learn from BECASSE school for a fun short afternoon course with your kids or partners, friends. Please contact them directly for more information.

If you are a coffee drinker, do try their coffee, very smooth!

There is a Quarter Twenty One is a two hatted restaurant and is sibling with BECASSE.

Temasek - Singapore/Malaysian - Parramatta Sydney * recommend*

0
Today I am bring you to one of the most popular Singapore and Malaysian restaurant in Sydney - Temasek.
Temasek surely earned its name after many years of consistence delivery great food to Sydneysiders and well-know by word of mouth. If you have not been there, you have totally missed out!

Numerous review from newspapers and media. Surely I am at the right place.

Full of people at this visiting hour, gosh, lucky we came early without booking tables.

Hainanese Chicken is definitely my favorite dish in Temasek. According to my colleague, if any store can't even get their soy sauce and the blended ginger and shallot sauce right, they totally screwed making Hainanese chicken.
This is the only hainanese chicken I had in Sydney serve cold/warm and it melts in your mouth. With their chicken flavor rice, this is a perfect summer dish.

Beef rendang - very tasty and tender. The meat are still nice and red inside, definitely shows the culinary skill and perfect cooking timing.

Water Spinach (Ong Choy) stir fried with shrimp paste

This is quite a dish on its own, it showcases authentic south east Asian taste.

Menu number one sweet and sour calamari
I will save the taste as a secret between you and me. Bottom line, it's definitely worth to try.

Dooley's Club - Lidcombe Sydney

0
Dooley club in Lidcombe is one of the biggest club in the area. Not only offers wide range of food and spacious dinning experience, but also offer variety of entertainment big (LCDs around the club for different live games, live performing bands, dancing floor, pool tables, poker machine, game room etc)
It's a great place to set up your functions.

Tonight is Korean night theme,  nice decoration!

Pianist plays near sitting area, of course, famous Korean music song tracks.

Tonight's special

Friendly staff.....

This is regular standard menu.

Chicken Schnitzel with chips and salad

That's the way to serve beer!

Surely you will find your drinks here.

My friend Dave would love to recommend their garlic bread. It's one of the best garlic bread you can find in Sydney.

Standard fish and chips

Korean night special, Flounder filled with kimchi (Korean pickled cabbage)and served with steam rice & bok choy
I must say tonight's special menu rather strange. I can't really imagine what flounder filled with kimchi would taste like, until I tried. My verdict is - horrible! I don't think it's a well though menu although it might be Korean tradition to have such taste. Definitely won't try that again.

Grill Salmon with Soba noodle

Salmon is slightly overcooked but still far better than the soggy soba noodle.

New spicy pizza

Nothing much to say, it's quite below standard.

After tasting their Asian menu, I will strongly recommend you to go with their standard menu. Prawn pasta, steak, garlic bread, coffee, cakes, muffins are properly their specialties.
