In Harris Park area there are plenty of Indian restaurant you can choose from. This is our first time come to Spice of Life. The reason we chose this place was simple, follow Caucasian rules of picking Chinese restaurants - if there are full of Chinese sitting inside, I am sure it's a good place to try ^^
Indeed, very nicely decorated.
As soon as we got in, we ordered Mango Lassi which is one of my favorite Indian drinks.
It's made from mango puree and yogurt, served in cold.
We also orderred Papadum which is a type of thin and crispy Indian cracker that served with cucumber and yogurt sauce.
They serve their Naan bread right after cook, it's still hot and fluffy when it arrived our table. Instead of pan fried or baking, I think they deep fried the Naan bread.
Palak Mutton, is goat stew in spinach sauce - I was a fan of this spinach sauce dish. To be honest, we wasn't sure what is suppose to be, just personally wasn't for me.
My old time friend - butter chicken
We need to say no more with this dish, perfect execution!
Chicken was very tender and the sauce was full of flavor, touch of yogurt on the top just simply perfecto!
Vegetarian biryani - spice use to cook biryani used in biryani are mainly safron and also ghee, nutmeg, mace, cumin,[2] pepper, cloves,[2]cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves, coriander, mint. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biryani) Surely it's not something everyone knows how to cook at home.
We were amazed with the variety of deserts they provide. Due to lack of knowledge on Indian deserts, we decided to revisit this restaurant with some expert later to discover the other side of the world. For now, some display pictures for your information first.
